Countdown Timer
A countdown timing program made in Flash, converted to an EXE presenter file. The program is designed for conferences/seminars/events where stage timing needs to be kept tight.
Best practice: Run the program on a laptop from your tech/sound/video desk, and repeat it on a second monitor facing the stage and speaker.
Please note: The program won't work well in Internet Explorer. Save it to your computer and run in the standalone Flash player.
Information
- Shows minutes and seconds remaining.
- Can be set between 1 minute and 99 minutes.
- Quick to set/reset for the next speaker.
- Can add text notes at the bottom (to save passing notes onto stage).
- Synced to PC clock for accuracy (doesn't just count milliseconds).
- Easy to use. Help is built in.
Download
Timer is available as a Flash SWF file, or as a Windows (EXE) or Mac (APP) executable. Source code available in the Flash FLA file.

Background
I was timekeeping a conference/seminar I help organise every month, and I wanted a better solution than the laminated A4 flashcards we currently used. I made this in Flash because it was the easiest solution.
We currently run this from the sound/video desk and show the output on a small screen facing the current speaker.
